This 2020 Fall semester, we will investigate the use of a variety of musical theatre dance styles and how these styles heighten the story-telling of theatre, communicate character, culture and time period, and reflect the society of the time they were created. Specific styles covered include vaudeville, social dance (Charleston, lindy-hop, 60s), ballet, jazz, Fosse, contemporary, and hip-hop.
