What does urban anthropology offer us? With approximately 60 percent of the world’s population
living in cities, cities are sites where the countless ways of being human come into contact; where
difference is lived, fashioned, and perceived. By engaging in a broad range of literature in urban
anthropology, sociology, and cultural studies, we will analyze questions pertinent to the analysis of
city life.
