In this course students will study the art and architecture of the Western and Eastern World. They will develop an understanding of basic aesthetic principles and an appreciation of the great works upon which modern culture is built. Through reading, discussion, and presentations in class by the teacher and students themselves, they will develop a basic understanding of art and architecture, an important foundation upon which they will build on in their future interactions with art here in New York City and on future excursions.
