This course is an introduction to the basic practical and theoretical elements of the theatre arts: acting, directing, playwriting, genre, dramatic structure, design, and theatre spaces. These elements will be studied and discussed from the standpoint of both the audience and participants. As a result, we hope students will continue to explore this diverse and complex art form through continued participation of live theatre.
